We´ve been having unusally good weather for this time of year and the horses are coming along great in their training here at Forsæti. Things are busy: we have over 30 horses in training and I am teaching four times a week in Hvolsvöllur. No one is complaining about having work these days though ;) On top of that, the tournament season has already begun and it is possible to compete pretty much every weekend if one chooses to do so. Tommi and I participated at an outdoor ice competition the other day in Þykkvabær. Tommi and Barónessa made it to the Finals in A-Flokkur and I just missed the Finals with Svalvör frá Glæsibær (that´s us in the picture). It was a great day with fun prizes, like potatoes and saddle blankets etc. On March 13. is the annual "Svellkaldar Konur" (Ice-cold Women) competition, an indoor Tölt on Ice tournament. Tommi has graciously agreed to lend me his competition horse Alki frá Akrakoti and I´m excited to see how we will do :)
