We bought Kara in February 2008. We fell in love with her powerful gaits and speed, and she´s very tall and beautiful (She has 8,09 for conformation). She is always willing to please the rider but is also mindstrong. She´s went with Jelena north to Hólar in January as her 5-gaiter. The plan is to compete with her for a couple of years and then she will be used as a breeding mare.

Barónessa is a first prize mare with 7,72 for conformation and 8,33 for rideabilities. She received 8,5 for trot, and 9 for walk and willingness! Her father is the famous honour prize stallion Sær frá Bakkakóti and her mother is a first prize mare out of the old Kolkuós line. Barónessa´s overall BLUP is 120 and we´re very excited to see what she will bring us in the future :)

We own Sónata together with Guðmar Þór Pétursson and his wife Gígja Einarsdóttir, who is also her breeder. Sónata is a very flashy horse and her best gait is her tölt. She has an amazingly high self-carriage with a lot of expression and great willingness. She has 7,92 for conformation and has received 8,5 for neck and shoulder, tölt, gallop, and willingness. Her mother is a first prize mare with 9 for willingness and 8,5 for tölt and form under rider (8,31 for rideabilities). Andvari frá Skáney is out of Stígandi frá Sauðárkróki and the grandfather of Sólon frá Skáney (8,48 for overall score).Tommi has been competing with Sónata in Tölt T1 and A-Flokkur (Gæðinga 5 gait competition). Recently they competed at the 2009 Fjórðungsmót where they also took part in the breeding farm demonstration for Álftárósi where people were very impressed by her. This was her „last act“ as now she is going into her next phase in life: breeding mare! She went to Ívar frá Blesastöðum summer 2009.

Tommi was given Kápa in ´97 by Jón Ingi Baldursson whom he was working for at the time. He started training her that fall, and when he went for his first ride with her he thought to himself: "This is how it should be!" Right from the beginning Kápa had clear tölt, trot, and pace with good leg lift and great expression. Sadly she got a leg injury on one of her front legs and was never shown to her full abilities. However, there are a lot of people who remember Tommi´s little brown mare with the huge mane and high stepping tölt. Kápa´s mother, Slæða, is a Hrafn frá Holtsmúla daughter and the full syster to the famous gæðingur Glæsir frá Glæsibær.

Landey was part of the large group of horses that Ársæll, the owner of Forsæti, bought from Stóra-Langadal in 2005. Jelena started training her our first winter at Forsæti and immideately fell in love with her. Landey was already 9 years old, and completely untouched by humans, making her not the easiest horse to work with. Her beauty, presence, and gaits made up for it though! Landey´s father is out of Stígur frá Kjartansstöðum, and he was in the finals at the FM Vesturlands ´99. Her mother is a correlation of great blood: you´ll find everything from Nótt frá Kröggólfsstöðum (honor prize mare), to famous the Kolkuós line, and Sörli frá Sauðárkróki just to name a few ;)

This is actually Fóstra #2. Tommi bought the first Fóstra from his uncle Sigmar in Miðhjáleiga (Fóstra meaning foster parent), where Tommi spent most of his summers growing up. She was an Orri daughter and also out of the Ofeigs daugther Lyfting who has already given many good horses. Tommi presented Fóstra and she got first prize, and they were together at Landsmót 2002. Sadly this Fóstra died while she was at a stallion for breeding. So Sigmar allowed Tommi to use his mare, Lyfting, once more and together they decided to use Rökkvi. We later bought Sigmars half of her. She has an awsome charakter, always friendly, but also very willing. She has great tölt and a lot of pace, with a good self-carriage.

Alki (meaning alcoholic, but we prefer workaholic ;) is Tommi´s tölt and 4-gait competition horse. He has amazing ground gaits, with a trot that makes you feel like a beginner! He has high leg action and his speed is endless. A powerful and fast horse who is just a blast to ride!

Jelena´s mom ( http://www.vindsdalur.ca/ ) fell in love with Krummi the first time she saw him and knew that she wanted an offspring of his. She ended up buying Ívar as a foal in 2005. We now own 20% of him and have started training him. Ívar is strong and very well developed. His fantastic charakter, speed, and big strides make him a blast to ride! Ívar´s mother, Perla frá Haga, is our of Stígur frá Kjartansstöðum, and she has already given a very famous offspring: Möller frá Blesastöðum, who has 8,95 for rideabilities!

Frakki is out of our Kápa and his father is a Huginn frá Haga son. Frakki is a large gelding with his mother´s awsome mane and high leg lift! He has been started under saddle and has shown very promising all five gaits. We will continue with him this summer ´10.

Tommi´s father, Snorri, let us use his favorite riding mare, Framtíð so we could get a foal out of her. Tommi has wanted to breed with her for a long time! Framtíð is a very willing mare with great gaits and a great self carriage. She is out of the famous Kveikur frá Miðsitju and Snorri´s main breeding mare Fluga frá Gerðum who is out of Ófeigur and a Kolkuós mare. We wanted to use Hrafn frá Holtsmúla blood and found Glymur frá Skeiðháholti, a son of Hrafn. He received first prize 5 years old despite a leg injury, and sadly he hasn´t been able to perform ever since.

This adorable mare was born on Jelena´s birthday so Tommi couldn´t resist giving the foal to her. The name „Náma“ means goldmine in icelandic but in this context it´s also short for „viðnám“ which means resistence (Jelena Ohm). Hence, the name ;)

This is our newest edition and we´re quite excited about her! She was born early this summer, small but sturdy. We own her together with Jelena´s mom whose idea it was to use Krákur frá Blesastöðum. Krákur received amazing scores as a four year old: 8,24 for conformation and 8,40 for rideabilities with 9,5 for tölt! He is out of Töfri frá Kjartansstöðum and a Gáski daughter Bryðja frá Húsatóftum. Eilíf is the half sister to Hugsun (we were so lucky that Snorri let us use Framtíð again:)
